Welcome to Russia and the start
of your holiday! Wanting more
time in St Petersburg? This is
the trip! Meet and greet arrival
transfer from St Petersburg
Pulkovo Airport. Transfer to
hotel for registration and
check-in. Tonight, around
2000hrs, our tip-filled Welcome
Meeting takes place. Rest of
evening free. Your trip leader
will recommend some local bars
and restaurants for you to try
out. Overnight - St Petersburg
Day 2: St Petersburg –
breakfast
A city coach tour offers us an
overview of the city. We then
enjoy a guided visit at the
Hermitage, which houses a
gargantuan art and antiquity
collection. The rest of the day
is free to enjoy St Pete’s your
way. Most of the city sights are
dotted along and just off the
main thoroughfare, Nevsky
Prospekt. St Petersburg has an
inspiring cafe, bar and music
scene, so perhaps indulge.

Day 3: St Petersburg -
breakfast
Free day. If you purchase the
pukka pass day 3 will include
additional guided sightseeing
inclusive of transport. The
timetable of events will
incorporate a visit to Peter and
Paul Fortress on the
Petrogradskaya Side, St Isaac’s
Cathedral - one of the world’s
largest cathedrals, the Summer
Gardens at Peterhof or Catherine
Palace at Tsarskoe Selo and a
guided tour and lunch. Overnight

Day 4: St Petersburg –
Vladimir – breakfast
Free day in the city of tsars.
Stock up on souvenirs at
Gostinny Dvor, the city’s
premier department store on
Nevsky, opt for our revolution
evolution! bolt-on or just
relax. Tonight, we travel to
Vladimir. Overnight - train
Day 5: Vladimir – breakfast
Good Morning Vladimir!
Travelling beyond Vladimir to
Suzdal. Packed with awesome
buildings and churches, the
little settlement of Suzdal is
one of Russia’s most beautiful
towns. Explore the town mostly
on foot, we visit the 11th
century Kremlin, some impressive
cathedrals and a wood–carving
museum. Later, we’ll treat
ourselves to a steamy experience
at a Russian banya (sauna).
We’ll then tuck into a vodka and
a Russian lunch. Back in
Vladimir, the city that gave way
to Moscow as Russia’s capital,
we’ll explore the town founded
in 1108. Later tonight, dinner
at the hotel. Lunch, dinner &

Day 6: Vladimir – Moscow –
breakfast
This morning, we drive to
Moscow. Arriving around 1300hrs,
we’ll ride the Metro to Red
Square from where we undertake a
guided walk. In Russian,
Moscow’s famous Red Square is
called Krasnaya Ploschad. The
word ‘red’ doesn’t refer to the
colour of the bricks or
Communism.The word ‘krasnaya’
simultaneously means ‘red’ and
‘beautiful’. In Red Square,
feast your eyes on the wildly
coloured turban domed St Basil’s
Cathedral - an enduring Russian
symbol. Remains of day free.

Day 7: Moscow – breakfast
This afternoon, with our guide,
we can visit Gorky Park and
Sculpture Park. Gorky Park is a
light-hearted amusement park in
summer whilst Sculpture Park
houses redundant statues of
Soviet notables from the days of
Communism including Lenin,
Stalin and Brehznev.
Alternatively, see Moscow your
way. There are plenty of
galleries, museums, cafes and
bars. Bolt-on star city - Join

the Star City Cosmonaut Training
Centre. Experience the low-down
on the Russian space program.

Day 8: Moscow – breakfast
Today, in Red Square, if open,
we can pay our respects for free
to Lenin, the father of
Communism, who lies in state in
his eerie granite mausoleum.
Continuing inside the Kremlin,
we enjoy a guided walk where
we’ll see numerous governmental
buildings, gold-domed cathedrals
and the tsar bell. The rest of
the day is free. Izmailovsky
flea market is worth a visit. It
offers a sprawling collective of
stalls hocking everything from
Soviet Red Army memorabilia to
bootleg CDs, fluffy hats and
Matryoshka dolls. Overnight -

Day 9: Moscow – Tallinn -
breakfast
Free day to pursue whatever
takes your fancy in Moscow.
Tonight, we bid farewell to our
Russian tour leader and travel
north by train to Tallinn,
Estonia. Overnight - train
Days 10 - 11: Tallinn –
breakfast
Arriving into Tallinn, we are
met at the rail station and
transferred to our hotel where
after breakfast we enjoy a city
tour. Sparkling with
kaleidoscopic history, culture
and architecture, Tallinn - the
capital of the Northernmost and
smallest of the Baltic states,
hugs the Gulf of Finland.
Steeped in maritime tradition,
Tallinn is a walker-friendly
city and offers an enchanting
mix of church spires, medieval
turrets and cobblestone streets
in it’s World-Heritage listed
Old Town. On day 11, we continue
our discoveries in the Old Town,
where we stroll the fascinating
narrow streets and alleyways
which give way to medieval
towers, churches and shopfronts
that were once the preserve of
wealthy merchants. We also take
in the upper part of the Old
Town known as Toompea where we
view the Parliament Building and
some churches. Overnight (2) -

Day 12: Tallinn - St
Petersburg - breakfast
Hotel check-out. Free day to
enjoy Tallinn your way. Tonight,
we travel by bus to St
Petersburg, clearing Russian
Customs at the border en
route.Overnight - bus
Day 13 (Thu): St Petersburg
Arrival in St Petersburg. Tour
arrangements end.
It is possible to finish at
Tallinn on day 12 (at no
additional cost) and exit from
Tallinn as and when you wish. If
you wish to end your tour at
Tallinn, please advise us.
Please note, no transfer is
provided on day 12 or day 13.
