Aswan
Beautiful town on the River
Nile. Stay a few days, stay
several in this laid-back Nubian
town!
Luxor
Literally a living museum at
over 4000 years old. The East
Bank is home to the awesome
Temple of Karnakand Temple of
Luxor. The Valley of the Kings
on the West Bank is also very
famous.
Cairo
Africa's largest city,
believe it or not, and GoBus
starting point. Home to a couple
of big sandy toblerone chunks -
the pyramids and awesome Sphinx.
Alexandria
Founded by Alexander the
Great, Alexandria has a great
stretch of coastline, the
Mediterranean! An impressive
seafront corniche where the
seafood joints do a roaring
trade is reason alone to visit.
Hurghada
Egypt's most popular resort
town. Good for diving,
snorkelling and chilling,
Hurghada also has a healthy
after-8 scene. For retail
therapy, the town has plenty of
shops selling knock-off bags and
tees, snorkelling gear and
suchlike.
Kom Ombo
It houses the Temple of
Horus at Edfu - a huge complex
that began construction in 237
BC. On the spectacular Gulf of
Aqaba on the famous Red Sea
coast, Dahab meaning "gold" in
Arabic is a small, intimate,
easy-going resort right on the
Red Sea coast.
