Days 1: Beijing
Arrival transfer from airport to hotel. Overnight - Beijing

Days 2 - 3: Beijing - breakfast
Day 2 - visit to Tiananmen Square and the imperial Forbidden City. Peking Duck Banquet. Day 3 - excursion with lunch to the UNESCO-listed Great Wall at Badaling, and the Ming Tombs. Overnight (2) - Beijing

Day 4: Beijing - Xi’an - breakfast
Visit Silk Alley markets and the Summer Palace with its UNESCO-listed imperial gardens, located on Kunming Lake. Later, overnight train to Xi’an. Overnight - train

Days 5 - 6: Xi’an - Guilin - breakfast
Day 5 - excursion to Huaqing Hot Spring, terracotta craft workshop and famous Emperor Qin’s UNESCO-listed Terracotta Warriors. Day 6 - city touring in Xi’an including Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall and Muslim Quarter. Later, fly from Xi’an to Guilin. Lunch, dinner and overnight (1) - Xi’an, (1) - Guilin

Days 7 - 10: Guilin - Tunxi - breakfast
Day 7 - luncheon cruise on Li River and visit to Yangshuo. Day 8 - fly from Guilin to scenic Hangzhou. Visit Six Harmonies Pagoda and Chinese Tea Museum. Day 9 - visit West Lake, Lingyin Temple and enjoy a bicycle ride. Day 10 - drive from Huangzhou to Tunxi. Sitting at the foot of Mt Huangshan, Tunxi is an ancient town. It’s famous ancient street is lined with hundreds of old but well preserved buildings in the Ming and Qing style. Lunch, dinner and overnight (1) - Guilin, (2) - Hangzhou, (1) - Tunxi

Days 11 - 12: Tunxi region for Huangshan and region - breakfast
Days 11 - 12 - visit Huangshan by cable car. Considered the most beautiful mountain in China, Yellow Mountain or Huangshan is one of a range of 72 peaks in the south of Anhui Province. Set amidst rural landscapes and with it’s slopes clad in pine, the ethereal scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. Some 9,000 steps have been carved into the mountain, for those that want to walk up the most stunning stairwell on Earth, though our excursion does includes a return cable-car journey to the scenic area, where you’ll stay for two nights in a hotel at the top. Lunch, dinner and overnight (2) - Huangshan

Days 13 - 14: Tunxi - Suzhou - breakfast
Day 13 - continue to ancient Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. Day 14 - one of China’s most charming cities, Suzhou’s fame rests on it’s waterways and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and UNESCO-listed gardens. A cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty. Also visit a silk workshop and the Humble Administrator’s Garden. Lunch, dinner and overnight (2) - Suzhou

Days 15 - 17: Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Shanghai - Beijing - breakfast
Day 15 - visit Zhouzhuang, en route to Shanghai. Focus your eyes on spectacular Shanghai. Perhaps China’s most modern city, it’s amazing Pudong skyline is breathtaking. Enjoy a tour of the Bund area and a cruise on the Huangpu River. Day 16 - guided touring of Shanghai. Day 17 - free day. Overnight train to Beijing. Overnight (2) - Shanghai, (1) - train.

Day 18: Beijing - breakfast
Arrive in Beijing. Included onward transfer to airport.
